Ms. Girouard was born in December and her hometown is Scituate, MA. She went to college at Southeastern Massachusetts University (now known as UMASS Dartmouth, Cambridge College) for Masters.
Favorite teacher? Mr. Freitas, my 6th grade teacher was my favorite. He challenged everyone to be their best. He also introduced me to the fantasy genre in literature when we read the Hobbit in class. His ability to positively influence all of his students inspired me to become a teacher. If you were not in education what other profession would you like to attempt? I would like to write and illustrate children’s books or perhaps I would open up my own coffee/dessert /book shop where people could hang out and read or share their own writing. Do you have pets? 3 cats; Pooky, Smeagol, and Willow. Favorite Color? Greenish blue. Favorite Quote or Saying? I can show you to the door, but it is up to you to open it. I like to cook, read, exercise, fish, and spend time with my family.

Mr. Bowman was born in April and his hometown is Marstons Mills, MA. He went to college at Bridgewater State University for a BA in Mathematics with a Minor in Secondary Ed. and Fitchburg State University for a M.Ed in Education.
Favorite teacher? Nelson Belanger - Algebra 1 8th Grade at Barnstable Middle School. He had a way of demanding excellence while being soft and gentle. He knew how to get any student to be motivated, work hard, and find his/her niche. If you were not in education what other profession would you like to attempt? I’d like to be an electrician or work in the plumbing field. I went to Cape Cod Tech to learn HVAC and enjoyed working in the managerial area of the construction industry. Do you have pets? 3 Pets. Favorite Food? Tacos and Nachos! Pretty much anything Mexican. Hobbies or Activities/Organizations you are active in? I coach the Boy’s tennis team at BHS. I also enjoy playing roller Hockey in the EMRHL in Saugus, MA as well as being a large part of my church, Calvary Chapel Cape Cod in Sandwich. We are in the midst of planting another church in Yarmouth, MA. |
