Ms. Howes was born in April and her hometown is Vacaville, CA. She went to college at California State University-Sacramento.
Favorite teacher? I had many wonderful teachers but my 6th Grade teacher, Mr. Morgan, stands out. I remember reading and researching to write my first real report, (HA! We used encyclopedias, books and a typewriter since computers were far from being household items). He taught me so much about the process of writing that I found a real joy in learning. His enthusiasm was contagious! If you were not in education what other profession would you like to attempt? Ranching- I had horses when I was growing up. My aunt and I go horseback riding on cattle drives during summer vacations now. Do you have pets? My husband and I just got a new puppy! She is a fluffy little golden retriever that loves to play and run. And chew. Favorite Color? Bright Pink! Favorite Quote or Saying? You may be sorry that you spoke, sorry you stayed or went, sorry you've won or lost, perhaps, sorry so much was spent. But as you go through life, you will find that you're never sorry you were kind. Where is the farthest place you have ever traveled? Loja, Ecuador, where my daughter was a foreign exchange student during her junior year of high school. Favorite Food? Mexican Hobbies or Activities/Organizations you are active in? Running, horseback riding, Red Sox and Patriots games, traveling, spending time with my family (my husband, 5 children, and my grandson... and another one on the way!)
