Favorite teacher?
Mr. Moore – English teacher at Heidelberg HS.  Taught me that life was all about “Survival of the Fittest”
If you were not in education what other profession would you like to attempt?   Tour Guide of France
Do you have pets?   A cat - Luna
Favorite Color?  Van Gogh Blue
Favorite Quote or Saying?  “On ne voit bien qu’avec le coeur.  L’Essentiel est invisible pour les yeux”.  One sees only with the heart. The essential is invisible to the eye.
Where is the farthest place you have ever traveled?   I’ve traveled to 22 countries in Europe and North America – but I think Hawaii is actually further than Budapest from Cape Cod!
Favorite Food?  Fromage (cheese)

Marilyn Linn, BMS 5th grade ELA/SS teacher

Ms. Linn was born in November (Scorpio) and her hometown is Lynnfield, MA.  She went to college for her BA at College of Liberal Arts and MEd at Lesley University.
Favorite teacher?
My favorite teacher of all time was my 3rd grade teacher, Mrs. Quinlan at Summer Street Elementary School in Lynnfield MA.   She was not only beautiful, her voice was soft, kind and loving. As a child, I knew intuitively I could trust her.  To her unknown credit, I believe she played a major role in my desire to “give back” & follow a career path into the teaching profession.
If you were not in education what other profession would you like to attempt?   Business.  Growing up in a generational entrepreneur publishing/public relations family, discussing around our daily dinner table my dad’s events of the day, cemented a business way of looking at life that has served me well throughout my adult life & would have been a prevailing career if not for the teaching opportunity I pursued.
Do you have pets?   When my children were younger, we had many dogs.   As my children became older and we were often at sports events or traveling, we felt having too many animals was unfair to them if we could not be home long enough for them to flourish.   Instead, I indulged in classroom fish and just loved having them for years for my students to feed, take care of, and name.
Favorite Color?  Blue is my favorite color because it is bright and cheerful.  However, if you asked any of my friends, they would say fuchsia is my favorite as I MUST have any clothing or jewelry I find in that color!
Favorite Quote or Saying?  “Stay Hungry, Stay Foolish”   - Steve Jobs
I like this quote as I interpret it to mean, stay determined, stay interested, take chances.
Where is the farthest place you have ever traveled?   Traveling to Australia for my sons USA Lacrosse games was the furthest I have ever traveled.  Although I loved traveling to Hawaii multiple times, I believe the 30 hour flight to “The Land Down Under,” beats the 14 hour flights to Hawaii!
Favorite Food?  Unfortunately, my favorite food is typically sugar based and bought in the candy aisle.   Although I don’t eat a lot of junk, if an open bag of M&M’s exists in front of me, well, it won’t last long.
Hobbies or Activities/Organizations you are active in?   For decades I have had the great fortune to run alongside the canal on Mashnee Dike in the early morning hours.   Some people wonder how I could be doing this run for decades day after day. I don’t. I treasure each run in paradise and they never get old with the salty air, chirping birds overhead, and crashing waves in the distant canal.

If you were not in education what other profession would you like to attempt?   Interior Design
Do you have pets?   Not at the moment, but had a beloved dog and will probably be getting another one soon
Favorite Color?  Purple
Favorite Quote or Saying?  “Go confidently in the direction of your dreams; live the life you’ve imagined.”  Ralph Waldo Emerson
Where is the farthest place you have ever traveled?   Mexico
Favorite Food?  Probably seafood
Hobbies or Activities/Organizations you are active in?   Decorating, interior design, gardening.
