Ms. Rauss was born in November and her hometown is Falmouth, MA.  She attended college at Haverford College in Pennsylvania.
Favorite teacher?  
My favorite teachers were my 5th grade teachers as they helped my best self and inspired me to become a teacher.
If you were not in education what other profession would you like to attempt?   
​I would probably attempt travel photography.
Do you have pets?   I have a Boxer named Frida.
Favorite Color?   Purple
Where is the farthest place you have ever traveled?   Harbin, China
Favorite Food?   Asian food
Hobbies or Activities/Organizations you are active in?  Flag football, soccer, chamber orchestra, and cooking.

Maggie Peterson, Peebles SPED teacher

​Ms. Peterson was born in April and her hometown is Falmouth, MA.  She attended college at Fitchburg State University (majored in Special Education PreK-8, Elementary Education grades 1-6, and minored in History).
Favorite teacher?  
I had many teachers that I loved in Falmouth Public Schools as well as Upper Cape Cod Tech that always pushed me to try my best.
If you were not in education what other profession would you like to attempt?   I have always had a passion for singing and musical theater. I would also love to go back to school to be a math professor.
Do you have pets?   I have a Black Lab Chow mix named Smokey the Bear.
Favorite Color?   Pink!
Where is the farthest place you have ever traveled?   Aruba and Mexico.
Favorite Food?   Fondue 
Hobbies or Activities/Organizations you are active in?  
I sing in a church choir. I am a math tutor for adults going back to college. I love thrift shopping for designer clothes and selling online. I also love baking and decorating my home.

If you were not in education what other profession would you like to attempt?   
​I have had multiple careers including in healthcare, business owner, and Coast Guard. Teaching is without a doubt the best.

Favorite Food?   Lobster
Hobbies or Activities/Organizations you are active in?  American Heart Association – CPR/1st Aid instructor, and rebuilding my ‘66 Mustang

Ms. Olson was born in December and her hometown is Arlington, Virginia (hard to say, really, as I lived overseas growing up).  She attended college at Connecticut College.
Favorite teacher?  My AP English teacher because we read and discussed all types of literature.
If you were not in education what other profession would you like to attempt?   veterinarian and/or Pilates instructor
Do you have pets?   a dog (golden retriever) and a cat
Favorite Color?   any bright color
Favorite Quote or Saying?  “Be Kind Anyway….” (a prayer/poem from Mother Teresa)
Where is the farthest place you have ever traveled?   Casablanca, Morocco
Favorite Food?   lasagna, cheeseburgers, dark chocolate and coffee ice cream
Hobbies or Activities/Organizations you are active in?   I swim four morning a week with the Masters at Cape Cod Swim Club and I participate in open water swims in the summer.

Dennis Reynolds, BMS 7th gr history teacher

Mr. Reynolds was born in October and his hometown is Bourne, MA (Bourne High Class of 1987).  He began his education at Cape Cod Community College and then earned his Bachelor of Arts Degree in History from Bridgewater State College.
Favorite teacher?  
My 7th Grade History teacher, Mr. Fedge. I can remember sitting in his classroom back in 1981-82, thinking to myself, this is what I want to be when I grow up!
If you were not in education what other profession would you like to attempt?   Something to do with the outdoors or sports related. I formally owned several of my own businesses and did well but I wanted to share my passion of history.
Do you have pets?   No pets as of now but I promised my two boys, Nathan and Sam, I would get them some sort of reptile or lizard (something without fur).
Favorite Color?  Purple – is there really any other choice?
Favorite Quote or Saying?  “Serenity Now!”
Where is the farthest place you have ever traveled?   I spent two weeks in China as part of a student tour back in 2006.
Favorite Food?   I could probably eat pepperoni pizza every day.
Hobbies or Activities/Organizations you are active in?   I spent most of my time as a chauffeur for kids' activities and I help out coaching several of their sports teams. When I do have any spare time, I like to read about historic events and people. I have also been a Red Sox Season Ticket holder since 1994.

Ms. Riggle was born in January and her hometown is Acushnet, MA.  She went to Bridgewater State (College at the time, now University) for her Bachelor’s in Elementary Ed, and to American International College for her Master’s in Elementary Ed, along with getting a Reading Specialist license.
Favorite teacher?  
Mrs. Blouin, my second grade teacher at Acushnet Elementary School.  She always used to say, “easy for some, difficult for others.” I think that quote alone made me want to get into teaching.  I wanted to understand why it was difficult for others, and how I could help.
If you were not in education what other profession would you like to attempt?   I’d be a librarian (or a singer).
Do you have pets?   Yes, my oh-so-crazy and lovable Boston Terrier named Bruschi (Go Pats!)
Favorite Color?  Red
Favorite Quote or Saying?  “Be kind whenever possible.  It is always possible.”--Dalai Lama
Where is the farthest place you have ever traveled?   Mexico for my honeymoon
Favorite Food?   Just one favorite?  I’d have to say guacamole. I love food!
Hobbies or Activities/Organizations you are active in?   Singing and dancing, especially with my soon to be two year old, going to the beach, watching my oldest play hockey, having fun with my husband, trying new food and cooking (especially with my husband), going to see my dad’s band play, and spending time with family

Mr. Pugh was born in September and his hometown is Hopedale, MA.  He went to college at Guilford College in Greensboro, NC. 
Favorite teacher?  
Señor Barrett was my first Spanish teacher in high school. He was a dedicated teacher and passionate about Spanish. I learned to speak Spanish in his class.
If you were not in education what other profession would you like to attempt?   Veterinarian
Do you have pets?   Bean, the Boston Terrier and six chickens
Favorite Color?  Green
Favorite Quote or Saying?  The dream is free but the hustle is sold separately.
Where is the farthest place you have ever traveled?   Italy or Ecuador, not sure which one is further.
Favorite Food?  Pretty much anything on the menu at the Brewster Fish House!
Hobbies or Activities/Organizations you are active in?   I love tending flower and vegetable gardens at home. I am Scout Master of Troop 54 in Centerville.

​Ms. O-Hara was born in February and her hometown is Plymouth, MA (but Bourne has been my hometown for the last 20 years).  She went to college at Bridgewater State College.
Favorite teacher?  
Mrs. Thompson was my favorite teacher when I was in High School.  She was very enthusiastic about her subject: History. She had been in the military so she had real experiences to share.  She was also very kind and encouraged students to do their best.
If you were not in education what other profession would you like to attempt?   If I wasn’t a teacher, I think a photographer would be a fun job to have.  I love to take pictures of people and nature. I would love to have more time to get better at it!
Do you have pets?   A cat - she is only one years old.  She was born in my backyard and we rescued her.
Favorite Color?  Aquamarine
Favorite Quote or Saying?  “The more you read, the more you know. The more you know, the smarter you grow.  The smarter you grow, the stronger your voice, when speaking your mind or making your choice.” ~National Library Week (some say by Dr. Seuss)
Where is the farthest place you have ever traveled?   Jamaica
Favorite Food?  Any kind of ice cream!
Hobbies or Activities/Organizations you are active in?   I am not involved in any organization right now but my family was a host family and I was a board member for the Bourne Braves organization for many years.  It was a great way to spend our summers when my children were younger!!

Antonia E. Perry, Peebles first grade teacher

​Ms. Perry was born in August and her hometown is Bourne, MA.  She went to college at Keene State College.
Favorite teacher?  
My fourth-grade teacher, Jan Hughill, was my favorite teacher for many reasons.  I remember her reading to us every day. She had an expressive reading voice and chose excellent stories.  I felt transported as she read, which fueled my interest in science fiction. She made me feel smart and special.  She held a math contest, and I won. She took three of us out for ice cream sundaes as a prize.  She made me feel worthy of her time. She believed in me.  She encouraged me to go to Keene State, and even visited me while I was at college.  She made me feel like I had something important to contribute.
If you were not in education what other profession would you like to attempt?   I would have liked to try anything in the science field.  I always wanted to be an astronaut.
Do you have pets?   I take care of a friend’s dog and two cats all summer.  I feel like they are mine!
Favorite Color?  Ocean Blue
Favorite Quote or Saying?  “Don’t give up.  I believe in you all.  A person’s a person, no matter how small.”-Dr. Seuss
Where is the farthest place you have ever traveled?   I spend every summer in my favorite place, Siesta Key, Florida.  I love the beach!
Favorite Food?  Lobster is my families’ favorite treat!
Hobbies or Activities/Organizations you are active in?   I can't let a week go by without attending a yoga class. I also like kickboxing and Barre class. I also spend many hours watching my two boys play baseball.

​Ms. Rothera was born in March and her hometown is Barnstable, MA.  She went to college at UMass Amherst.
Favorite teacher?  Mr. Anderson (5th grade).  He challenged me in new ways and made learning fun.  He went on to become a principal and hired me for my first teaching job.

If you were not in education what other profession would you like to attempt?   Children’s librarian.
Do you have pets?   No but I have 2 children :)

Hobbies or Activities/Organizations you are active in?   If following my daughters to all of their basketball and soccer games is a hobby,  then that’s it!
