Ms. Riggle was born in January and her hometown is Acushnet, MA. She went to Bridgewater State (College at the time, now University) for her Bachelor’s in Elementary Ed, and to American International College for her Master’s in Elementary Ed, along with getting a Reading Specialist license.
Favorite teacher? Mrs. Blouin, my second grade teacher at Acushnet Elementary School. She always used to say, “easy for some, difficult for others.” I think that quote alone made me want to get into teaching. I wanted to understand why it was difficult for others, and how I could help. If you were not in education what other profession would you like to attempt? I’d be a librarian (or a singer). Do you have pets? Yes, my oh-so-crazy and lovable Boston Terrier named Bruschi (Go Pats!) Favorite Color? Red Favorite Quote or Saying? “Be kind whenever possible. It is always possible.”--Dalai Lama Where is the farthest place you have ever traveled? Mexico for my honeymoon Favorite Food? Just one favorite? I’d have to say guacamole. I love food! Hobbies or Activities/Organizations you are active in? Singing and dancing, especially with my soon to be two year old, going to the beach, watching my oldest play hockey, having fun with my husband, trying new food and cooking (especially with my husband), going to see my dad’s band play, and spending time with family
