Ms. Perry was born in August and her hometown is Bourne, MA. She went to college at Keene State College.
My fourth-grade teacher, Jan Hughill, was my favorite teacher for many reasons. I remember her reading to us every day. She had an expressive reading voice and chose excellent stories. I felt transported as she read, which fueled my interest in science fiction. She made me feel smart and special. She held a math contest, and I won. She took three of us out for ice cream sundaes as a prize. She made me feel worthy of her time. She believed in me. She encouraged me to go to Keene State, and even visited me while I was at college. She made me feel like I had something important to contribute.
