Katherine Sullivan, High School math teacher

Ms. Sullivan was born in December and her hometown is Wakefield, MA.  She went to college at Tufts University for her Bachelors Degree and Brown University for her Masters Degree.  

Her favorite teacher: My eighth grade Algebra I teacher Mrs. Maggiore (at the Galvin Middle School in Wakefield) was one of my favorites and really got me ready for future math courses in high school. She recognized students effort and was always willing to work with us after school to master concepts. Even after eighth grade I stayed in touch with her throughout high school, even attending my high school graduation celebration.
Do you have pets? I have two wonderful cats named Millie and Mabel. I love coming home to them everyday!
Where is the farthest place you have ever traveled? Probably Prague, Czech Republic. I studied abroad there for a semester in college through NYU. It was one of the most important experiences of my life in making me feel confident to navigate the world on my own.
Favorite food? I love trying new cheeses. Definitely my guilty pleasure.
Hobbies or Activities/organizations you are active in?  I love doing yoga. I go regularly to Sanctuary Studios in Plymouth and Open Doors for hot yoga. I also love playing piano in my spare time and cooking.
