Mr. Lefcourt was born in April and his hometown is Falmouth, MA (originally from IL).  He went to college at Roger Williams University.
Favorite teacher? My high school history teacher, Mr. O’Brien, who fostered my love for everything historical.
If you were not in education what other profession would you like to attempt?   Any job related to researching about and protecting the environment.
Do you have pets?   An 11-year old golden retriever named Lola

If you were not in education what other profession would you like to attempt?   Was in telecommunications for 25 years.

Ms. Kelley was born in March and her hometown is Westford, MA.  She went to college for her Bachelors at Springfield College and her Masters at Fairfield University.

Favorite teacher? My favorite teacher was Mrs. Haight. I met her my freshman year in high school. She made learning fun and exciting. It was because of her that I went into education. She not only cared about me as a student, but as a whole person!
If you were not in education, what other profession would you like to attempt? Marine Biologist - I would love to study, work and play with sea creatures!
Do you have pets? No, but I secretly want a dog (but don’t tell my children ;)
Favorite color? PURPLE!!!! Go Bourne

Where is the farthest place you have ever traveled? Alaska. When I was in college, we traveled to Alaska for a gymnastics competition. We hiked in the mountains and went dog sledding!

Hobbies or Activities/Organizations you are active in?   I grew up loving and competing in gymnastics. As an adult I love running, hiking, kayaking and spending time exploring with my family!

Kim McKanna, BMS 7th grade math teacher

Ms. McKanna was born in May and her hometown is Mt. Vernon, NY (adjacent to the Bronx, NYC).  She went to college at MIT.

Favorite teacher? H.S. Physics/AP Physics.  he was highly intelligent, wacky, cute, and believed in me far more than I did.  He was a father figure and mentor, even teaching me how to drive.
If you were not in education, what other profession would you like to attempt? Didn't even consider teaching until I was 30! B.S. was in Earth Sciences, M.S. was in natural resources and land use policy/planning.  Started PhD in political science (natural resources/international relations). Graduated first in class at Police Academy.  I would like to work with one of the intelligence agencies, working in counter-terrorism. Or with FEMA, planning for response to natural disasters.  Or doing accident investigation with NTSB.  Or a district attorney.
Do you have pets? Dog (Skittles); cats (Misty, Trixie, Spunky, and Pumpkin); birds, zebra finches (at least a dozen, number changes frequently despite being in separate male and female cages.  They manage to defy science and procreate - frequently); and a 50 gallon tropical community aquarium.
Favorite color? Blues, especially blue-greens
Favorite quote or saying? "When in doubt, play louder!"
Where is the farthest place you have ever traveled? Finland and Estonia to the ease, Aruba to the south, Alaska to the west, and Ivalo, Finland to the north (160 miles north of the Arctic Circle)
Favorite Food? Cheeseburger.  Runners up: Pizza, tuna, peanut butter.
Hobbies or Activities/Organizations you are active in? Reading!!!  Hiking in conservation areas with my dog.  Playing the flute, semi-professionally.  Bowling.  Making Ukrainian Eggs.
