Ms. Buckley was born in June and her hometown is Weymouth, MA. She went to college at Bridgewater State College.
Favorite teacher? In high school I studied Russian with Miss Perry, who was my very favorite teacher. She made learning the Russian alphabet and all their sounds really fun, and took us to lunch at the Russian Tea Room in Boston. She also arranged a field trip to a Russian coffee house in Harvard Square to listen to Russian folk music. I felt SO grown up! I also loved my 4th grade teacher, Mrs. Pietrowski, whose daughter was a taxidermist, which was the most exotic occupation I had ever heard of at that time! If you were not in education what other profession would you like to attempt? I would like to be a regular on Saturday Night Live, singing with a band and making people laugh. Or work in a craft store. Or a bookstore. Do you have pets? I recently adopted an adorable little orange tabby cat named Callie. Favorite Color? My favorite colors are the colors of the beach and ocean on a bright sunny day. Favorite Quote or Saying? Let There Be Peace On Earth Where is the farthest place you have ever traveled? I have visited most the the states in the US, but my farthest out-of-the-country travel was to Aruba. Favorite Food? The answer to this question has always been “mashed potatoes,” though I actually rarely get a chance to eat them! Hobbies or Activities/Organizations you are active in? I am a beach lover who lives for warm days spent on the beaches of Cape Cod. I enjoy reading a great mystery or historical fiction novel, but spending time with my family is my most favorite activity of all. I am a Member-at-Large on the New School Building Committee, the Peebles School Council, and currently serve as a Building Rep for the Bourne Educators Association.
