Ms. Maloney was born in February and her hometown is Plymouth, MA. She attended college at Framingham State University.
Favorite teacher? Mr. Freitas, who was my teacher junior year of high school, was my favorite teacher. He knew I wanted to be a teacher, so one day after school he offered to stay late with me, so that way he could teach me the ins and outs of being a teacher. That day I learned what an IEP and a 504 was, I learned about the Massachusetts Curriculum Frameworks, and I learned what a lesson plan objective was. I had no idea how much teachers had to know and do! I really appreciated and still do appreciate Mr. Freitas doing that for me. It really opened my eyes, but it did not discourage me from pursuing the education profession. If you were not in education what other profession would you like to attempt? I would do anything that involves nature or dogs. I love being outside as much as I love dogs. Do you have pets? Yes! I have a dog named Ellie. Favorite Color? Pink Favorite Quote/saying? My all-time favorite quote is: “When everything feels like an uphill struggle, just think of how beautiful the view at the top is.” This quote speaks to me a lot because it applies literally to mountain hiking, but it metaphorically applies to life itself. In life, as with hiking, you got to push yourself to keep going because the outcome will be worth it. Don’t give up. Ever. Where is the farthest place you have ever traveled? Arizona Favorite Food? Pizza Hobbies or Activities/Organizations you are active in? I LOVE hiking and camping with my dog. Hiking and camping are my favorite things to do.
